Lacy Mansfield, CPM, LM
Lacy Mansfield, CPM, LM Certified Professional Midwife | Licensed Midwife, State of Wyoming Vice Chair, Wyoming Board of Midwifery | Member, Wyoming Midwives Association My name is Lacy Mansfield, and I am a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and Licensed Midwife (LM) serving families across southeastern Wyoming. I provide safe, evidence-based, and deeply compassionate care to mothers and families seeking a personalized and empowering birth experience. My journey began in southeastern Montana, where I worked as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for nine years, providing emergency care throughout rural communities. That experience built the foundation for my calm presence, critical thinking, and ability to serve families confidently through every kind of birth scenario. In 2013, I felt a clear calling to midwifery. I began a dual educational program through the National College of Midwifery (NCM) and Mountain Midwives School to meet both Montana and Wyoming licensing requirements. I graduated from Mountain Midwives School in 2017 and earned my Associate of Science in Midwifery (ASM) from NCM in 2019. Soon after, I became a Certified Professional Midwife through the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) and obtained state licensure through the Wyoming Board of Midwifery. In 2016, my family and I moved from Montana to southeastern Wyoming, where I established my midwifery practice. Since then, I have dedicated my career to serving women and families with individualized, respectful, and evidence-based care. I currently serve as Vice Chair of the Wyoming Board of Midwifery and hold a leadership role within the Wyoming Midwives Association, where I advocate for midwives and families throughout our state. Midwifery runs deep in my family’s history. During my training, I learned that my great-grandmother, Sally Harris, was a midwife who served the Northern Cheyenne people. Knowing that I carry forward her legacy has given even deeper purpose and meaning to my work. Outside of midwifery, I am a wife and homeschooling mother of four. Family is one of life’s greatest blessings, and I thank my Heavenly Father each day for the opportunity to grow, serve, and learn alongside them.
Sydney Calero, CPM, LM (Backup Midwife)
My name is Sydney Calero. I’m a wife, mother of two boys, Navy veteran, photographer, and completed my Bachelor of Science in Midwifery through the Midwives College of Utah in June of 2026. My path to midwifery began after the birth of my first son, when I felt a deep pull to serve women and families through birth work. After the homebirth of my second child in 2021 (supported by Lacy), that calling became undeniable. I woke up the next morning knowing that midwifery was where I was meant to be. The translation of “midwife” — with woman— defines the heart of my approach. It means walking beside mothers and families emotionally, physically, and spiritually through one of life’s most transformative passages. I believe every mother deserves inclusive, informed, and respectful care rooted in compassion, evidence, and trust. It has been an incredible honor to learn under Lacy, whose depth of knowledge, skill, and heart-centered approach to midwifery have profoundly shaped my growth as a midwife. Her mentorship has strengthened my confidence, refined my hands, and reminded me daily that midwifery is as much about presence and humility as it is about skill. Birth is sacred work. It is both ordinary and miraculous... a process that unfolds best when supported with presence, patience, and reverence. I am profoundly honored each time I am invited into a family’s birth space and grateful for the opportunity to grow and serve within this incredible community.
